The popular burger joint will open its doors on August 28 and will be offering limited-time burgers and fries, as well as exclusive shakes

Pandemic or not, Singaporeans’ love for burgers is insatiable. That is why it comes as no surprise that popular American burger joint Shake Shack is opening its seventh outlet at Gardens by the Bay on August 28. Since the Covid-19 pandemic started in early 2020, it has also opened four other branches in Orchard (June 2020), Suntec City (September 2020), VivoCity (December 2021) and Great World City (April 2021).

True to its lush foliage and garden-like theme inspired by Madison Square Park—Shake Shack’s birthplace—the outlet is surrounded by lush greenery and florals curated by the tropical garden’s horticulturists. The look and feel extend to the beautiful interior decorated with coral bells, home-grown calla lilies as well as amaranthus and asparagus ferns hanging from the walls. Shake Shack has also worked with local visual artist Soph O to create an eye-catching mural showcasing Gardens by the Bay’s everlasting blooms.

As with all other openings, Shake Shack is offering a selection of exclusive burgers and drinks alongside its signature offerings. The limited-edition roasted garlic mushroom burger takes inspiration from the bold flavours of classic New York steakhouses with its hormone-free Angus beef patty stacked with crispy fried shallots and tangy roasted garlic mayo.

Instead of the classic crinkle-cut fries, it’s best paired with the other limited-edition offering: roasted garlic fries sprinkled with parmesan cheese, fresh scallions and roasted garlic mayo. Both items will be available at Gardens by the Bay from August 28, and at other outlets from September 3 to October 15.

A trip to Shake Shack isn’t complete without its popular shakes, and the exclusive flavours at the new outlet are Berries by the Bay and Tropic Like It’s Hot. These have a creamy vanilla custard base but the former comes with forest berries jam, fresh blueberries and dried osmanthus flowers, while the latter is blended with mango, passionfruit and shortbread.

A portion of the sales from these will be donated to the Singapore Environment Council, an organisation that focuses on sustainability issues and environmental efforts in Singapore.
