Get a taste of Nonette’s French-Vietnamese sandwiches in Singapore from now until November 27

Bahn mi fans, rejoice. Tiong Bahru Bakery is hosting a pop-up this weekend (November 25 to 27) with popular Parisian bahn mi joint, Nonette.

Known for its mouth-watering bahn mi sandwiches and indulgent donuts, this ‘sandwicherie’ is the brainchild of Singapore-born ex-banker, Pearlyn Lee, and Vietnamese-French chef and winner of MasterChef France 2015, Khanh-Ly Huynh.

First opened in 2021, this takeaway sarnie shop has since attracted the attention of many celebrities, including Emily in Paris actress, Ashley Park, and more.

The three-day affair is held at Tiong Bahru Bakery’s Foothills outlet and the menu comprises three of the joint’s signature bahn mi flavours: lemongrass jackfruit, honey roasted chicken, and dac biet. The latter is a favourite among many and comes layered with cold cuts, soy chicken liver pate, caramelised pork loin and Vietnamese-style porchetta. Each sandwich will be served in a Tiong Bahru Bakery baguette and topped with cucumber slices, carrots and daikon.

These ‘sensory explosion’ sandwiches, as Au describes, are decadently rich and flavourful, and are available while stocks last.
