After a one-year hiatus, the prestigious event will be streamed on the guide’s Facebook and Youtube channels

As the local dining scene slowly returns to pandemic normal, Michelin Guide Singapore announced today that it will be revealing the restaurants that made it into its prestigious 2021 list via a virtual ceremony on September 1, at 3 pm. The much-awaited restaurant guide celebrates its fifth edition this year after it skipped out 2020 when Singapore was at the height of its Covid-19 crisis.

“In the 2021 edition, we pay tribute to the perseverance and dedication of these professionals, who continue to bring us together over the finest gastronomy and experiences,” explained Gwendal Poullennec, the International Director of the Michelin Guides. He added: “It has been impressive to observe how the chefs and their teams were able to reinvent and adapt to the unfolding situation.”

Apart from announcing the establishments which earned their coveted stars, Michelin Guide will also introduce a new accolade—the Michelin Guide Young Chef Award, which will be given to a young chef who has displayed exceptional talent and great potential.

Ahead of its virtual event on September 3, which will be livestreamed on Michelin Guide Singapore’s Facebook page and Youtube channel, Michelin Guide Singapore will also release its Bib Gourmand 2021 list on August 12. The restaurants in this list are chosen for offering good quality and good value cooking at reasonable prices.
