Location: SM Megamall Fashion Hall, Mandaluyong City
Headquartered in Seoul, Super Matcha brings its clean, contemporary matcha concept to Manila, offering an alternative to coffee rooted in balance and sustainability. 8. 2050 Coffee
Location: Molito Lifestyle Center, Alabang, Muntinlupa City
Another Japanese concept lands in Manila, this time taking the form of a futuristic, sustainability-focused café: 2050 Coffee. Tucked within Molito, Alabang, 2050 Coffee provides a unique café experience. First, guests place their orders with one of their baristas, then proceed straight to the automated tap system, which pours consistent, high-quality brews straight into your cup. The experience is built to tackle the “2050 coffee problem”—that is, the threat that climate change and rising demands could reduce Arabica-growing areas to 50 per cent by 2050. Beyond empowering baristas to focus their attention on sharing the origins, varieties, methods and stories behind the coffee, 2050 Coffee also champions fair returns and sustainable sourcing, using only traceable beans. This marks 2050 Coffee‘s first branch in the country—expect classic espress-based drinks, as well as signatures like the cascara spiced lemonade and apple cinnamon latte.
