Taste of Luxe is Insular Life’s (InLife) recurring culinary lifestyle event, delighting members of its Amorsolo Circle with delectable meals paired with fine wine

Taste of Luxe, a private dinner for invited select members of Insular Life’s (InLife) Amorsolo Circle, was held in Penthouse 66 of the Grand Hyatt Hotel, which overlooks the high-rise skyline. The evening commemorated and celebrated these individuals with a rare occasion to wine, dine and interact with friends and colleagues.

As guests filled the room and took to their seats, waiters quickly moved to offer bread and drink. Soothing, classical renditions of popular songs were played, bringing about an air of familiarity and a touch of sophistication. Coupled with the luxurious decór and high ceilings, the atmosphere was welcoming and inviting, building up the excitement of what follows next.

InLife High Net Worth Individuals Segment Lead Divina Gillego gave her opening remarks, welcoming the esteemed members of the Amorsolo Circle to an evening of delicious dishes thoughtfully paired with wine to complement and bring out an explosion of flavours. Taste of Luxe is also an exclusive occasion to give Amorsolo Circle members the luxurious treatment they deserve, not just in their finances, but also in their lifestyle. As a special gesture, chef de cuisine Alexandre Esnaud, who prepared that evening’s delights, personally introduced each dish and described the wine that they were paired with.

“We have prepared an exquisite dinner for all of you, so take this as an opportunity to unwind,” said InLife chief marketing and bancassurance Officer Gae Martinez.

The four-course meal consisted of a salad with Belgian endives, smoked duck and mango for the appetiser, a French onion soup with Swiss cheese and croutons, a choice between grilled sea bass and wagyu beef salpicao for the mains, and a delectable coconut cream glutinous rice and dark chocolate cake for dessert. Each portion seamlessly flowed into the next as servers poured glasses of wine in between, with detailed descriptions of their flavour profile.

Guests cheerily talked to each other about their favourite dishes, as well as the wine pairing they enjoyed the most. This sparked lively discussion, paving the way for new friendships and connections. As the evening winded down, InLife Chief Transformation Officer Efren Caringal Jr came forward and thanked the Amorsolo Circle members for attending this special event.

Taste of Luxe was a unique opportunity to enjoy a pleasurable evening of good food and company. To be able to enjoy oneself without reservations, especially with other like-minded individuals, is a luxury that often goes unappreciated. The tastes and sensations of this dinner will be fresh in their minds for years to come, and those present will surely look forward to next time.
