For the first time ever, Kita Food Festival is set to make its way to Kota Kinabalu from November 8 to 10. The inaugural weekender will keep true to the festival’s ethos of showcasing homegrown talents and producers, comprising its Big Sunday Barbecue, a mini Kita Conversations, and a series of four-hand dining events.

Supported by Sabah Tourism, the festival aims to celebrate the rich culinary heritage of Borneo while shining the spotlight on the unique food cultures of Southeast Asia.

The weekender will culminate with two of Kita Food Festival’s defining events—Kita Conversations and its Big Sunday Barbecue.

Taking shape this time as a mini symposium, this installation of Kita Conversations will see culinary figureheads and thought leaders including Darren Teoh of Dewakan and Oliver Truesdale Jutras of Re:Growth Hospitality take to the stage to discuss the future of food and sustainability in the region.
