The two-Michelin-starred restaurant has reopened with a new look and a delicious menu of mouth-watering modern British fare
Dining at Jaan is more than just a meal. Here, executive chef Kirk Westaway hopes to take us on an immersive dining experience, combining ‘impeccable design’ with fine flavours of Reinventing British cuisine—and his newly refurbished space does just that.
After a three-month closure for renovations, Westaway’s beloved British dining concept, Jaan, has officially reopened on December 6, 2022. Perched on the 70th storey of Swissotel The Stamford, the newly renovated restaurant pays homage to the diverse terroir of Westaway’s home region, Devon in Southwest England.
The much-anticipated refurbishment has been in the making for almost 20 years, and no one is more thrilled by the outcome than Westaway himself. “This journey of evolution is an integral part of our enduring promise to continue delivering exceptional guest experiences,” he shares.

The new space transports you to Westaway’s beloved home region through a modern lens. As you step in, you’ll be met with a hallway lined with beautiful paintings by Australian artist Steven Cross. Each painting draws inspiration from various landscapes in Devon, such as the ocean located five minutes away from Westaway's hometown in Exmouth. The main dining hall, which was previously decked in simple white interiors with a chandelier centrepiece, now transports us to the shores of Devon with beautiful gradients of blue.
There is a stunning new centrepiece as well—hanging from the ceiling is a tree-like sculpture inspired by hawthorn trees that serve as a reminder of the restaurant’s evolution over the past 20 years. If you have been to the restaurant previously, you may notice that the new piece has been fashioned by the restaurant’s original hand-blown Murano glass chandelier.
