Following the Tatler Dining Awards 2023 ceremony, which took place on January 30, Hong Kong's dining scene is abuzz with chefs, sommeliers and restaurateurs beaming with excitement for what's to come. Above The Pizza Bar on 38th, Tokyo is coming to Hong Kong
In celebration of their 18th anniversary this year, The Landmark Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong is welcoming The Pizza Bar on 38th from the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo for a pizza pop-up in their private dining room space which runs from February 14 to 26 (closed on 20 February) 2023.
Led by The Pizza Bar's executive chef Daniele Cason, the pizza bar will offer a degustation menu for HK$798 per person which includes one starter, seven slices of their award-winning gourmet pizza, and one pizza dessert. Pizza toppings feature premium ingredients such as Italian cold cuts, king crab and sea urchin from Hokkaido, Red Pearl strawberries from the Ehime prefecture and more.
A Valentine’s Day menu is also available for HK$1,198 which comes with a complimentary glass of Italian sparkling wine. Lunch starts from 11.30am to 1.30pm; 1.45pm to 3.45pm, while dinner begins from 6pm to 8pm; 8.30pm to 10.30pm. There are limited seats available and a reservation is required. On Sundays, we smoke... prime rib

The Rosewood's American grill and smokehouse Henry is launching a new smoked prime rib menu (HK$998 per person) for Sunday dinner from February 5. The menu is chef Mario Tolentino's take on the traditional Sunday roast and features four courses with two appetisers, starting with cocktail tiger prawns or oysters with Champagne mignonette and wedge salad with pork belly or pumpkin chowder with Boston lobster. This is followed by the signature smoked prime rib as the main course with a choice of side dish and a dessert of either passionfruit mousse with mango and Champagne jelly or pineapple upside-down cake with coconut sorbet. Guests may also opt for more indulgent additions including bone marrow or jumbo lump crab cake for HK$88 and half Boston lobster for HK$128.

With Hong Kong opening up to more travellers, the rush of international chef collaborations continues with Jeffrey Downs of modern European restaurant Holt in Taipei coming to Hong Kong to join Barry Quek of Whey for an exclusive two-night dining event at Whey on February 27 and 28. The two chefs met and worked together at (the now closed) In de Wulf restaurant in Belgium almost a decade ago and will now combine their culinary minds in Hong Kong for a new and creative eight-course menu (HK$2,588 per person) that spotlights pristine produce and makes the most of seasonality.
Making your cookie dreams crumb true

Butter, the American-inspired cake brand by Black Sheep Restaurants, has recently launched cookies that are now available from the Butter Cookies truck at Pacific Place in Admiralty. The bright pink truck is currently serving three signature cookies from 11am to 7pm, or until sold out. Cookie flavours include milk and dark chocolate with a touch of caramel; sweet and salty peanut butter with roasted hazelnuts; and sweet and tangy lemon crinkle which are available at HK$25 per piece, HK$125 for half a dozen and $250 for a dozen. A wider range of cookies, including ginger molasses, the Butter’s classic, M&M, and oatmeal raisin, will be introduced at a later date.
