The Gourmet South Australia Fair from Sep 23 - Oct 5 will take place in Kuala Lumpur and Penang

When it comes to food and drink, gourmands would be spoilt for choice in South Australia. The Adelaide Market, for example, is a veritable haven of fresh produce, meats and speciality culinary products, while areas such as Barossa Valley and Kangaroo Island boast a booming cafe and restaurant scene.

Travel restrictions may be preventing us to travel to Down Under for now, but there's a chance to sample the region's culinary richness at the South Australia Gourmet Fair where 14 brands will be introduced to the Malaysian market for the first time.

“South Australia has a fabulous natural environment to produce high quality foods, from its ideal weather and the perfect soils of the Adelaide Hills, to its pristine oceans producing premium seafood," says Dr Justin Lee, the High Commissioner of Australia to Malaysia. “We also have a fabulous food heritage. Migrants from all over the world have made South Australia their home, bringing their food traditions and then further innovating them to make unique produce. But most importantly South Australians love premium and gourmet food—and put great effort into making it.”
