The a la carte menu includes a range of creative and well-thought-out dishes alongside fresh seafood flown in from Japan.

Kick off with a variety of sashimi artfully presented on ice, then slurp up plump Hokkaido oysters baked with garlic herb butter. Or go for the inventive grilled Caesar salad composed of water bamboo wrapped with pancetta, parmesan shavings, tomato salsa and whitebait crisps (tatame iwashi). From the teppanyaki counter, try some of the finest meats including wagyu beef tenderloin served with sesame mustard steak sauce and the tender Kurobuta pork collar coated with a satisfying teriyaki-based homemade sauce. Hearty homemade ramen such as cha shu ramen are a favourite with locals, whereas the tsukemen - dry ramen served with special homemade sauce - is popular amongst Japanese expats. The bouncy noodles are served with a flavourful sesame-based sauce, a perfectly cooked egg with a slightly wobbly, orangey yolk, plus a dollop of Korean chilli paste on the side.
