Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s Dine with Chef series will bring together local and international culinary figureheads for a month-long epicurean celebration
The second instalment of Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s Dine with Chef, an annual showcase of culinary expertise, is set to take place this May. Throughout the month, the hotel will turn into a hub of gastronomic collaboration and spotlight the craftsmanship of local and international chefs.
This series of takeovers promises an exploration of global cuisines curated by renowned guest chefs and the hotel’s very own culinary veterans. Building on the success of its 2023 debut, this year’s edition aims to take the hotel’s dining experiences to new heights and celebrate its renowned dining venues, from THIRTY8 to Level 5’s recently opened pop-up space.

Above Chef Grzegorz Odolak, also known as chef Greg
At the heart of Dine with Chef is Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s executive chef, Grzegorz Odolak. With over two decades of experience in the culinary world under his belt, chef Greg has seen multiple residencies at Hyatt properties across the world, bringing his prowess from Warsaw to Dubai and Doha to Chennai.

Sharing the spotlight are executive chef Stig Drageide and executive pastry chef Holger Deh of the upcoming Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur who have each garnered deserved worldwide acclaim for their tenures at Michelin-starred establishments.

Vincenzo Carbone (or chef Enzo as he’s affectionately known), the executive chef of the upcoming Hyatt Centric City Centre Kuala Lumpur, will join the star-studded lineup to give diners a taste of what the soon-to-be-opened hotel has in store.
You’ll be able to experience the talent of these chefs firsthand in a total of eight epicurean events hosted by Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur.
The Spirit of Poland at THIRTY8

Kicking off at THIRTY8 from May 9 to 11, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s Dine with Chef series will centre its debut on Polish cuisine. Helmed by chef Greg and distinguished Polish chefs Marcin Budynek and Mariusz Olechno, guests can expect a selection of à la carte dishes that champion Poland’s culinary heritage.

THIRTY8 will see a shift from a celebration of culture to a celebration of family with a festive Mother’s Day brunch curated by chef Greg from Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, chef Stig and chef Holger from Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, chef Enzo from Hyatt Centric City Centre Kuala Lumpur, and chef Pande Cipta from Andaz Bali. Expect a selection of sparkling wine, cocktails, and inventive mocktails before indulging in a lavish spread on May 12.

Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur will team up with Sushi Azabu, one of the city’s most renowned Japanese establishments. For one night only on May 17, an intimate sake tasting omakase dinner will be housed in the hotel’s recently opened pop up space on Level 5—the highlight of Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s Dine with Chef series.

May 25 will see a culinary experience fit for bona fide sommeliers and wine enthusiasts. Grant Burge, a South Australian wine specialist, will guide an exclusive wine tasting at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s Poolhouse, complete with an expertly paired selection of canapés. Throughout the month of May, the Poolhouse will also feature a weekend a la minute BBQ buffet by chef Izmin of Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur.
