It’s easy to feel on top of the world when you’re at HighHouse and Nova, a pair of dazzling dining and nightlife venues where celebrations reach new heights—literally.

More than just the fantastic views, this 10,000 sq ft nightlife concept is collectively known as OUE Sky, and marries the four key pillars of art, gastronomy, music and community. It is also the brainchild of a powerhouse team comprising four industry veterans: OUE Restaurants’ chief operating officer Andrew Ing, HighHouse and Nova general manager Wayne Lee, music manager Benedict Teo, and executive chef Sam Chin, The Artling, and Matthew Shang Design Office (MSDO).

Perched 282m above ground on the 63rd floor of One Raffles Place, Nova is Singapore’s highest rooftop bar and enjoys stunning 360-degree views of the cityscape. The bar has received a complete transformation, oozing spades of style in every corner. The rooftop bar connects to HighHouse, a two-storey restaurant-lounge spanning across the 61st and 62nd floors.

From an event-packed calendar with guest deejays to stunning spaces everywhere you turn, we list the reasons why you should book a table at these twin venues soon.

The Pan-Asian dining menus at both venues are jointly conceived by executive chef Sam Chin and realised by head chef Joel Tan and his team. At HighHouse, you’ll get to choose from small and large plates to sharing platters featuring flavours inspired by diverse cuisines in countries around the Pacific Coast. Must-tries at HighHouse include the refreshing Hokkaido scallop carpaccio and the moreish grilled spanish octopus, along with tasty steaks imported from Australia and Argentina, and grilled with finesse by the culinary team.

Enjoy a spicy, appetite-whetting combination of bar-style snacks at Nova that include tom yum-flavoured shoestring fries, Indonesian-style noodles, and octopus karaage served with lime garlic aioli and fajita spice. When it’s time for cocktail hour, both venues have their respective Happy Hour programmes with select cocktails at HighHouse from 5pm to 8pm, and house pour spirits, wines, and beers at Nova from 6pm to 8pm.

As testament to the versatility of the venue, HighHouse boasts two bars with double-storey height, dedicated separate rooms for Champagnes and dry aged beef, as well as a private dining room. Additionally, you can belt out your favourite tunes in Hideout, a private karaoke room that looks out to spectacular views above the clouds. How’s that, for a luxurious singalong session to remember?

Be inspired to dance all night

HighHouse and Nova are both jointly designed as music playgrounds for audiophiles and anyone keen to dance the night away. Powered by a state-of-the-art sound system, the music playlist and upcoming DJ sets have been handpicked by music manager Benedict Teo. The overall programming is also supported by a team led by general manager Wayne Lee and music manager Benedict Teo (Zushan), who are both industry stalwarts with over a decade of experience leading nightlife establishments and music festivals.

Open from 6pm onwards, the playlist at Nova begins with laid-back tracks, before the tempo heats up into the later hours. Nova’s setlist blends nostalgic, throwback tracks from the nineties with an eclectic and international combination of genres ranging from crowd-pleasing house music to afro-influenced tunes and world beats. In contrast, HighHouse focuses on melodic house, techno, R&B, hip-hop, and other electronic music sub-genres—giving patrons contrasting atmospheres in two connected venues.

What’s more, you can expect to see guest DJs from the region and around the world helming nights across both venues, while championing local DJs with a consistent roster of veteran and up-and-coming names.

You’ll want to be pictured in the two nightlife venues everyone else wants to visit. The tangerine orange logo by branding agency Somewhere Else conveys the retro leanings of the space. Think Mad Men-era, speakeasy-chic in an impeccably well-designed venue where guests will want to see and be seen.

Under the expert hands of the team at Matthew Shang Design Office (MSDO), a design consultancy known for its stellar hospitality and dining projects, the impressive interiors of HighHouse have been crafted to invoke a sense of discovery the moment you step in. You’ll find plenty to catch your eye, wherever you look.

The handsome interiors of HighHouse are made even more immersive with a dynamic array of digital art, paintings and sculptures curated by art consultancy The Artling. Featuring both emerging talents and established artists, the artistic line-up includes works by Kyoto-based Naoko Tosa, Singaporean artist Nicholas Ong and Berlin-based digital art and design studio Onformative.

Ascend to the 63rd floor to reach Nova, where the unobstructed views will take your breath away. Here, a colossal steel structure is its attention-grabbing centrepiece. Created by Kuala Lumpur-based light artist Jun Ong, Astra is a visual spectacle inspired by the spirit of innovation and self-expression. A supernova that radiates and pulses to the beat of the music, its futuristic aesthetic serves as a contrast to the minimally-designed terrace to offer a welcoming and adaptable ambiance.
