Auro Chocolate introduces its Filipino Street Food collection, transforming local delicacies such as isaw and pugo into fine chocolate
A longtime fixture of Philippine culinary culture is its street food, sold from stalls that feed students, workers and foodies from dawn to dusk. These soulful bites provide a particular comfort–nostalgic, familiar flavours at the root of our cuisine. The proudly tree-to-bar brand Auro Chocolate looked toward these beloved snacks and bites and reimagined them from a playful, delectable point of view.
Internationally, some of these delicacies are often thought of as a challenge to overcome, so the goal was to make them an accessible and delicious experience—and Auro Chocolate has succeeded. They have even foregone their traditional, minimalist boxes, favouring containers that are reflective of Filipino food packaging. Their reputation for storytelling through chocolate certainly precedes them.

Balut is perhaps one of the most infamous examples of Philippine street food, but Auro Chocolate has turned it into something effortlessly approachable. The classic duck egg is crafted from fine white and milk chocolate to closely mimic its appearance. Hidden inside is a custom-moulded chocolate duck for a surprising burst of indulgence.
Wow Isaw

Wow Isaw is a chocolate lollipop, shaped and styled after the grilled street skewer, right down to the charring. Its flavour was also replicated with barbecue-infused caramel and a butter biscuit centre, which gives it that tactile, crunchy mouthfeel.

This continues the award-winning brand’s impressive track record in translating tropical flavours such as ube, banana and calamansi into bars of chocolate. Most recently, chef Laëtitia Moreau’s Culinary Collection featured savoury bonbons with surprising twists of flavour: sinigang, blue cheese, bell pepper and more. Auro Chocolate’s research team dug deep to identify the most iconic street eats and the distinct qualities that make them such enduring favourites.
Auro Chocolate’s Street Food Collection is filled with heartwarming nostalgia, easily finding its place as takeaway gifts for family, friends and loved ones. The brand has written a love letter to a cornerstone of Filipino daily life, one that can be effortlessly shared and enjoyed time and time again.
