Cover San Miguel Premium Beers are paired alongside authentic Spanish fare from three incredible restaurants

San Miguel Premium Beers partners with Las Flores, Tomatito and Rumba for authentic Spanish fare

Filipino flavours are heavily influenced by Spanish cuisine, seen in the ingredients we use, the cooking techniques we practice and even down to the linguistics involved. This is indicative of our shared history and culture, from our strong family relations to our penchant for finding any excuse to hold a celebration. San Miguel Brewery Inc (SMB) explores and honours this long tradition by collaborating with three incredible restaurants from Bistronomia: Las Flores, Tomatito and Rumba. Diners can experience these colourful combinations themselves until December 31.

A favourite of many, Las Flores showcases two of its seafood tapas dishes: its calamares Andaluza, a serving of light, crispy fried calamari; and gambas al ajillo, succulent shrimp sauteed in garlic-infused virgin olive oil. Both are best enjoyed with San Miguel Cerveza Blanca—whose delicate harmony of spicy, smoky and fruity notes enhances each other’s profiles.

Meanwhile, its chorizo frito—an assorted selection of chorizo and roasted garlic cloves—comes with a side of pan de sal for diners to make the most out of its olive oil. This added heat pairs well with the bold flavours of San Miguel Cerveza Negra, whose hints of caramel, coffee and chocolate balance out this savoury dish.

Tomatito

Tapas Bar Tomatito pushes forward its own brand of Spanish cuisine, with an emphasis on hearty dishes complemented by its playful, street-inspired interiors. Its filete air baguette places a smoky, tender, melt-in-your-mouth beef tenderloin on top of a light and crispy air baguette—with the hoppy aroma and clean, crisp dry flavour of San Miguel Super Dry.

Tomatito’s nachos ibericos offers an elevated Spanish twist on a Mexican classic: a bed of crispy nacho chips topped with generous servings of chorizo, cheddar cheese, sour cream and pico de gallo for an indulgent menagerie of flavours. The strong kick of this dish goes exceptionally well with San Miguel Premium All-Malt.

Rumba leans heavily into Spain’s seafood and its maritime neighbours, evinced by the presence of Greek, Italian and French influences on its menu. Aside from the classics you’d expect, this dining establishment’s strength lies in its grilled dishes, primarily its chorizo criollo. Grilled chorizo is served alongside sweet potatoes and tangy chimichurri sauce, best paired with San Miguel Cerveza Negra.

This exciting collaboration brings together the best of both worlds, a subtle reminder to find joy with our closest friends and confidants. Each dish comes with complimentary San Miguel Premium Beers, that highlight the deep connection between two cultures and histories, enhancing both to their utmost levels. A meal and a drink, after all, is best shared with others.
