Melbourne brand T2 tea makes its way to Manila, primed with a youthful spirit that makes you rethink everything you know about tea

When you think of tea, what comes to mind? Often, the ancient tradition translates to a ritual of ornate teaware and perplexing lists of tea blends indistinguishable to the untrained tea-sipper. Indeed, such practices are both luxurious, and culturally significant. However, they can also be intimidating and unapproachable – enter T2, the Melbourne-born tea brand finally available in the Philippines.

T2 may not be your grandmother’s cup of tea, nor does it try to be. The fresh, funky tea brand is anything but rigid. From inviting twists like the smooth vanilla-packed Melbourne Breakfast to one-of-a-kind creations like The Glowgetter, specially blended to minimise stress and encourage radiant skin, T2’s world of tea is like no other – in fact, T2 even offers a slew of recipes for cocktails, desserts, and many more using their teas. Of course, the brand dares not contest the timeless value of beloved blends like French earl grey or English breakfast, both of which you can also find in their stores. Truly, the beauty of T2 is its welcome marriage of class and indulgence with a youthful spirit that asks you to rethink what you know about tea.

This ethos goes well beyond their delicious brews. T2 is also known for their fun and innovative teawares like the T2 Teamaker, a hypnotic gadget designed to sit atop the rim of your teacup as it magically pours freshly-brewed tea through the bottom. As a certified B Corporation, T2 has also dedicated itself to championing sustainable and ethical practices. For example, all fruits, spices, herbs, and tea leaves are sourced in compliance with the Unilever Responsible Sourcing Policy, the Rainforest Alliance guidelines, and more; and all single-use tea bags are made purely from plant-based sources, meaning they are compost-friendly.
