Drawing inspiration from the iconic bow that once adorned Moët & Chandon’s bottles, Pharrell reimagined the elegant motif with a modern twist—now featured on the Brut Impérial and Nectar Impérial Rosé bottles in the limited-edition collection

We only celebrate our birthdays once a year, and many of us welcome the big day by popping a bottle of champagne to kickstart the celebration with family and friends. Through the years, enjoying a bubbly has become more than just a tradition; it has also become a ritual of joy and connection. Inspired by these shared moments, Moët & Chandon partnered with American singer and songwriter Pharrell Williams to launch a limited-edition champagne collection that gives the maison’s bottles a celebratory twist.

Patrick Madendjian, the managing director of Moët Hennessy Singapore and Malaysia, tells Tatler that the collaboration with Pharrell came from a shared vision of “reclaiming the birthday as a moment not just for the individual, but for the people who make that day truly memorable”. As Pharrell puts it: “the best part about a birthday is the people who want to celebrate it with you.”

In reimagining the look of the classic bottles, Pharrell dug through the archives of the maison and discovered that the iconic tie that wraps around the bottle was originally a bow in 1889. Madendjian tells us that it was used as an emblem of elegance and celebration in the past, which Pharrell “reimagined as a contemporary symbol that infuses a piece of our past with new meaning and modern relevance”.

The limited-edition collection comprises the Brut Impérial (75cl) decked with gold, midnight blue and deep red ribbons, while the Nectar Impérial Rosé (75cl) is dressed in a white ribbon motif. Meanwhile, the detachable bow creations—midnight blue for the Brut Impérial and white for the Nectar Impérial Rosé—adorn the 1.5L bottles, and are available in limited quantities.

The Moët & Chandon and Pharrell Williams limited-edition collection is available at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove, select Fairprice Finest stores, as well as lifestyle destinations including Zouk, Highhouse and HaveFun Live Show.
