Whisky lovers, you’ll find Glendfiddich’s exclusive and immersive pop-up store at Changi Airport Terminal 1 departure hall until November 5. On display is the single malt Scotch whisky’s Perpetual Collection, a global travel exclusive made up of these four different expressions: Vat 01, Vat 02, Vat 03 and Vat 04.

These expressions are named as such because it is crafted using Glenfiddich’s ground-breaking method called Solera Vat process. Basically, vats are filled with whiskies and are continuously filled with new whiskies to give the golden liquid added depth, character and complexity. In short, it’s a whisky that never sits still.
Elegant, refreshing and deceptively mellow—despite the 40 per cent ABV—Vat 01 teases the palate with its sweet and spicy notes. Bottled at 43 per cent ABV, Vat 02 is a bold and silky expression that is deliciously rich yet smooth.
Aged for 15 years in European oak sherry and ex-bourbon casks before it is married in the vat, the silky smooth and full-bodied whisky with a 50.2 per cent ABV has warm notes of spice, hints of nutty marzipan and dark sherry oak. Completing the collection is the Vat 04, which delivers rich aromas of robust oak, baked apple and ripe orchard fruit. In case you are wondering, it’s bottled at 47.8 per cent ABV.
Completing the packaging is a contemporary artwork by Berlin-based studio, A N F. His design features generative art created by code that represents the perpetual movement that created these four new expressions.
The pop-up store is located at Terminal 1, but you’ll be able to find the Perpetual Collection at all Singapore Changi Airport Lotte Duty Free Shops and on ishopchangi.
