Golf and whisky enthusiasts gathered at Serapong Golf Course for a friendly competition, which saw the champion win an exclusive tour of Glenfiddich’s distillery in Scotland
The crystal-clear azure skies and occasional gentle breeze set the stage for the inaugural Glenfiddich Golf Invitational event, which took place on July 5 at the Serapong Golf Course, Sentosa Golf Club. A total of 70 players who purchased the Glenfiddich 30 Year Old from the Time Re:Imagined collection were invited to this exclusive experience, which embodied the whisky brand’s maverick spirit.
Golf and whisky enthusiasts—who received a welcome gift pack that included an exclusive shirt by J. Lindeberg and the newly released Adidas MC80 golf shoes—had an exhilarating day with a friendly competition inspired by the Time Re:Imagined collection that saw them driving through the course to complete a series of challenges. Hole 2, for example, was the suspended time challenge where participants had to achieve the longest “suspension time” of their golf balls in midair. Hole 5 was the cumulative time challenge where they battled on having the longest and straightest time off the tee.
Capping off the day’s activities, Glenfiddich arranged a whisky pairing dinner where the winner was also awarded with a trophy shaped like a pot still and an exclusive tour of Glenfiddich’s distillery in Scotland. But from the clinking of the whisky glasses to the laughter and chatter with friends, it was evident that everyone felt like winners as the guests savoured Glenfiddich cocktails and whiskies such as the Glenfiddich 21, 22 (Gran Cortes, which isn’t locally available for sale as of writing), 23 and 26 Year Old.

All eyes were on the Glenfiddich 30 Year Old from its Time Re:Imagined collection though, which wasn’t served that night but was prominently displayed at the space. It was easy to see why, as the exquisite expression crafted by Glenfiddich malt master Brian Kinsman, was enclosed in a striking white packaging that looked like moving ribbons to represent the movement of time. Elegant cutouts gave them a peek of the glorious decanter which seemed to float in mind-air, as if suspended in time.
Indeed, it was a great start to the Glenfiddich Golf Invitational, which is set to return next year with more exciting activities and challenges.
