Above Martell Chanteloup XXO
Named after the historic Château de Chanteloup near Cognac, which is the soul of Maison Martell, the exciting event started off with a mentoring session led by Bastien Michaud, the new Martell brand ambassador locally, that allowed guests to sample and compare varieties of Martell labels, from the smooth VSOP and the sublime Cordon Bleu to the distinct XO and, of course, the prized Chanteloup XXO.

The brand partnered with E18hteen Inspired Cuisine to develop an exceptional pairing dinner menu that beautifully merges the elements of East and West, to showcase the exquisite flavours of the cognac and heighten the taste of the food. Before dinner begant, guests partook in a number of exciting sessions that were specially crafted for the night.
The first was the Martell Taste of Sound where they were transported to different scenes via a series of short stories that invite them to discover unexplored sensations with a glass of cognac in hand. The second put guests’ sense of smell to the test, challenging them to guess the flavour notes based on scent alone.

The sumptuous eight-course pairing dinner was accompanied by performances by Dennis Lau as well as former national synchronised swimmers who demonstrated their talents in a pool just next to the restaurant. The luxurious journey was complemented with a one-night stay in the Crockfords Hotel, the only hotel in Malaysia to receive the 5-star rating by the Forbes Travel Guide for three consecutive years.
