It’s officially almost our favourite day of the year with National Cookie Day falling on December 4 and if you say you don’t love a good, warm cookie, you’re either lying to yourself or you simply have not had the chance to try a completely sinful one just yet.

In fact, chunky and loaded cookies are all the rage these days, as more people start to look for food that simply stands out from the norm. From loaded cookies to monster-sized ones, we certainly want them all and are willing to sacrifice our waistlines for the best of the best. 

With so many options around the island, we have scouted out the best spots to indulge in a chunky and loaded cookie. Here are some to look out for.

1. Old Seng Choong

Apart from traditional cakes, this confectionery is home to a range of decadent bite-sized butter cookies inspired by local flavours. Look forward to unique creations, like the bak kut teh and goreng pisang (banana fritter). An interpretation of the well-loved herbal soup, the former is a sweet and savoury cookie infused with white pepper, herbs and spices. The latter is its modern take on the Indonesian snack, offering flavours of sweet well-ripened bananas.

Lookie Cookie’s stuffed cookies are pretty incomparable when it comes to loaded snacks. You can choose from flavours such as Nutella, almond butter, almond cinnamon roll, peanut butter, speculoos, uji matcha, marshmallow and so much more.

All its cookies are free from preservatives and are made from premium French Valrhona 70 per cent dark chocolate for maximum enjoyment.

Then, get your cameras ready because a scoop of ice cream will be gently placed on your cookie which will allow the gooey chocolate or matcha inside to flow out. The combination of warm cookies and cold ice cream makes for the perfect treat for any occasion.

8. Accio Cake

Cheese pulls may have been all the rage once upon a time but today, they are losing much of their hype. In fact, we’ve found something way better and much more delicious and they are none other than marshmallow pulls.

Make sure you get a picture because this is hands-down one of the most unique cookie experiences you can have. 

11. Crusty Bakes

Crusty Bakes is a bakery that certainly cares for your health as well as your tastebuds. With organic ingredients and a reduced amount of sugar, you can rest assured that you are getting the absolute best.

Try its gigantic 200g stuffed cookies that are filled with fillings such as Maltesers, Kinder Bueno, Oreo and more. 

If you are looking for something with a little more of a kick, try its alcoholic stuffed cookies which come with Bailey’s Irish Cream or Guinness. You’ll certainly want to keep this out of your kid’s hands.

12. Sugary Bakez

Loaded cookies are delicious but we do have to admit that they are often messy and not always Instagrammable.

However, Sugary Bakez solves this problem with its unique smores cookies that are topped with pastel-coloured marshmallows that give you a beautiful hue when broken apart.
