Second Serve Coffee

Located in Peng Chau, Second Serve is unlike any cafe we’ve seen in Hong Kong. It's dreamt up by a husband and wife duo whose life-long dream was to open a tennis court/ cafe. The tennis court is run by the husband, a USPTA elite tennis coach, while the cafe side of things is taken care of by the wife.

On the outside, you won’t ever suspect there’s a tennis court hidden within. The cafe is linked to a secret indoor tennis court, with large glass windows located in between the two sides separating the tennis court and cafe—all the while allowing cafe-goers to watch if there’s a tennis match in motion. The cafe area boasts comfortable indoor and outdoor seats, plenty of greenery and an extensive coffee and juice menu to keep you hydrated.

Tai Wo Tang

Formerly a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) clinic, Tai Wo Tang's modern-day reincarnation is a stylish coffee shop. Inside, the rows of wooden medicine cabinets remain as decor, serving as the backdrop behind the barista’s working station. Tai Wo Tang cooks up brunch staples such as eggs benedict and all-day breakfasts, as well as pasta and its famous gai dan zai egg waffle with fried chicken.

Major Tom

A spaceship-themed cafe in Sham Shui Po, Major Tom operates as a cafe by day and cocktail bar by night. With ultra-white exteriors and interiors that imitate the surroundings of a spaceship, the cafe also features a unique piece of decor sticking out the wall—a plain white astronaut glove. Why is it stuck on the wall? What is it reaching towards? We’ve got questions. On the menu, find everything from sweet and refreshing tipples, to lattes served in adorable round glasses.

9 3/4 Cafe

Calling all Potterheads—9 3/4 Cafe stirred up a storm when it first opened in 2017, attracting Harry Potter fans from across the city. Inside, you’ll find plenty of Harry Potter memorabilia, magic brooms hung up on the walls, and of course, the famous 9 3/4 platform with a half-disappeared luggage trolley—and did we mention the cafe serves the iconic Butterbeer?
