Hot pot—a traditional Chinese meal where a simmering pot of broth is set in the centre of a dining table with people dipping a vast selection of ingredients, including sliced meat, seafood and vegetables, into the soup—is one of the most loved dining experiences and winter delights in Hong Kong. 

While it might not be feasible to gather our friends and family and dine-in at a restaurant to share a meal at the moment, there are still plenty of stellar restaurants offering hot pot delivery and takeaway menus for you to enjoy at home this season. Megan's Kitchen

Known for its consistent fine hot pot ingredients and innovative broths, Megan’s Kitchen is one of the city’s best restaurants for a quality belly-warming meal.

This season, the Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant has curated different tempting menus that are available for delivery and pick-up, where diners will be able to enjoy a rich array of hot pot delicacies, including premium meats such as Japan A5 saga wagyu ribeye and free-range chicken thigh; dumplings; fresh vegetables, dumplings and many more. There are over ten soup bases to pick from, but if you crave heat, their hot and sour Sichuan soup, tom yum cappuccino and Malaysia satay soup are not to be missed. Their new seasonal Vietnamese-style beef broth is also worth a try. 

For health eaters who’ve got a penchant for nutritious and nourishing broths, their winter melon soup with lotus seed and dried scallop, and apple and corn soup with spare ribs are sure to please.

The Drunken Pot

No roundup of hot pot restaurants would be complete without The Drunken Pot—a stylish restaurant that has a reputation serving up a vast selection of quality ingredients and soup bases—with an innovative twist.

Aside from the signature hot pot set for two or four people, which comes with toppings options including sliced Angus beef chuck, seafood platter, sliced squid ink sausages and dumplings that are perfect for sharing, the restaurant is also offering special delivery menus that feature premium seafood and meats for your holiday enjoyment.

The hot pot set will be delivered in a recyclable picnic box, and complete with utensils, reusable table cloth and glasses, wet tissues and free rental of the pot and gas cassette cooker for a hassle-free hot pot experience.

Boasting an extensive selection of beef cuts and homemade broths such as pickled cabbage beef bone soup and satay soup, 616 is the go-to place for diners with cravings for authentic Hong Kong-style hot pot. In addition to offering the seasonal menu, which features meltingly tender beef slices, the restaurant also serves premium sets for two and four persons that come with fresh beef and vegetable platters, fresh scallops, dumplings and udon.

If you’re still craving more, pick a few more ingredients from their extensive à la carte menu. Their handmade meatballs and beef dumplings are huge, but you can’t go wrong with any of the classics here—including duck blood jelly, shrimp paste and fried honeycomb tofu.

Taiwan Bussan Hot Pot

Another popular Taiwanese import that deserves a spot on your food radar. Taiwan Bussan has been garnering a lot of attention from local foodies since its launch in Hong Kong, thanks to its wonderful all-you-can-eat hot pot sessions and impressive food offering.

To keep diners satisfied at home this season, the restaurant has launched two special menus available for self pick-up. The signature set for two persons comes with a choice of broth (including nourishing chicken soup, spicy broths and more), and is accompanied by beef and vegetable platters, as well as a tempting selection of ingredients such as Taiwanese-style dumplings and duck blood jelly. Meat lovers will be impressed by their Australian wagyu menu, which features 1kg quality meat and an option of enjoying a full selection of over 23 ingredients at an additional HK$100 only.

Master Beef

Boasting five branches in Hong Kong, Master Beef has quickly become a favourite among the local foodie crowd since its launch, which is often not seen without snaking queues in earlier days when dine-in restrictions were loosened.

What makes this hot pot joint stands out from the pack is that it’s dedicated to offering diners made-to-order hot pot ingredients and broths for absolute freshness, where delivers an extensive range of high-quality meats imported straight from Taiwan, ranging from beef plate and Angus beef top blade, to pork slices and chicken with huadiao wine.

The restaurant is currently offering delivery and takeaway menu services, allowing you to enjoy a wide range of Hong Kong-style hot pot delicacies in the comfort of your own home.  

The set menu for two is a must-try, which comes with six types of broths for diners to choose from, such as the nourishing fish soup with tomatoes and papaya, and signature numb and spicy soup; and a wealth of top-shelf ingredients including fried seaweed rolls, fish balls with dried tangerine peel, haodiao chicken, fresh local beef cuts and many more.
