1. Honey Nut Pork Chops

Honey Nut Cheerios are a favourite among many: not just for kids but adults too! If you have a cup or so of them left in the pantry, consider using it to make honey nut pork chops. Crush it in a food processor and use it to bread juicy slabs of pork loin along with some other spices. We guarantee it will add a touch of complexity to your usual pork chop night.

3. Crispy Cereal Hummus

Think of hummus and you may immediately recall its smooth (or sometimes slightly grainy) texture. Today, we're suggesting that you level it up by adding a bit of bite to it. This hummus bowl recipe incorporates cornflakes along with toasted pine nuts for an exciting dip that's sure to be a hit at any party. Though it calls for corn flakes, you may also opt to replace it with crushed Rice Chex cereal.

4. Cocoa Puffs Carbonara

Don't knock it til you've tried it! A pasta dish with chocolate cereal may sound a little silly but this recipe has been the talk of the Internet for some time now. Developed by American cookbook author, Justin Warner, the Cocoa Puffs carbonara first made its appearance in the 2013 New York City Wine and Food Festival. Since then, curious gourmands have gone on to recreate Warner's recipe and seem to understand the reason behind it. The earthiness and sweetness of the cocoa mixed with the other ingredients of the dish just seems to make sense. Try it out yourself to see!
