Upon arriving in The Datai Langkawi, chef Chai Chun Boon immediately got down to work on a new degustation menu that reflects his passion for local produce and sustainability. It's fortunate, then, that Datai boasts an expansive herb garden where he always finds inspiration. 

Expect a refined farm-to-table approach on the menu with dishes like Hot Vichyssoise With Potato Gnocchi and 48-Hour Slow-Cooked Oyster Blade served with parmesan cream, charred aubergine, pegaga, and Andaman aromatic juice.

Executive Chinese chef Terence Foong has given Shang Palace's popular classic dishes a fresh interpretation. Think Pan-Fried Lamb Cutlet that is now enhanced with a secret sauce, and Poached Grouper in superior sauce and pickled chilli.

Beta KL continues its mission of highlighting Malaysian ingredients with a new menu that showcases the melting pot of cultures here. Its Cured Striped Jack with tamarind and turmeric takes a leaf from Kadazan Dusun cuisine while the Buah Keluak Ox Tongue Toast is directly inspired by Peranakan flavours.

Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur has brought its Hyde Park sister property's popular afternoon tea menu to Kuala Lumpur, complete with Abbey the Bear to keep you company. The quintessential English high tea features dainty sandwiches and pastries such as creamed fresh potatoes with fried onion in focaccia bread, orange sable paw cookies, as well as orange and raisin scones. 

Available until August 31, 2022.

Chef Aidan Low has once again put his culinary expertise on display with Akâr Dining's new menu. In line with the restaurant's philosophy of championing local produce and ingredients, the new menu includes Smoked Fish Broth infused with indigenous cendawan busut and Lamb Saddle flavoured with a Sarawak Liberica coffee mole.

The Hungry Tapir

If you've got a furry friend in your life, then this one's for you! The Hungry Tapir has introduced a new "secret" pet menu that is plant-based for all the pups that make their way to the hangout on Jalan Petaling. In collaboration with Woofsome Meals, the vegan eatery has re-created two of its most popular dishes into pet-friendly versions with all-natural premium ingredients. 

Your pup can now choose from Mama's Paw-tay, a rendition of The Hungry Tapir's Mama's Satay, and Nasi Fur-Ever Ulam, a dog-friendly iteration of the Rainbow Ulam Fried Rice.

The non-conventional Italian restaurant has released a new weekend lunch menu. Gooddam's new two- or three-course menu offers a main with either a starter, a dessert, or both. There is also a seasonal Sicilian-inspired menu, as well as a seasonal vegetarian menu available.
