1. Coffee Slave

Taking up the old location of Beans, Tsuen Wan’s stalwart cafe, Coffee Slave is set to be your new favourite neighbourhood spot that offers a cosy space where anyone can enjoy a great cup of joe paired with delicious food. Try their hearty mains such as the baby squid pasta with lobster sauce and slow-cooked beef ribeye steak, and don’t leave before checking out their extensive coffee menu.

2. Zombie Specialty Coffee

With a motto of “life without coffee is a zombie”, this speciality cafe in Jordan is serious about crafting their coffee and provides a spot for guests to enjoy beverages made to a consistent level of quality. 

In addition to all coffee staples such as latte, flat white and cappuccino, the cafe also serves a food menu featuring freshly baked pastries, toasts and desserts. Decked out in warm lighting and wooden interiors, every corner of this outdoor cafe is perfect for the ‘gram, too.

3. Kactus Espresso Bar

Bringing a taste of Korea’s coffee scene to Yau Ma Tei, Kactus Espresso Bar is the sister brand of the beloved Kactus Koffee located in the same neighbourhood. With a standing coffee bar concept, this space has a clean design dominated by concrete walls and lightwood furniture, allowing the focus to remain on coffee. 

Led by an experienced Korean barista, guests can expect unique espresso-based brews crafted with premium beans and meticulous techniques. While you're there, the Caffe Con Panna with whipped milk is a must-try.

4. Mother Pearl

If you love bubble tea as much as you love your coffee, Mother Pearl’s new branch in Wan Chai is the perfect place to be. The Instagrammable, vegan bubble teas are the real deal, offered in an array of signature and unique seasonal flavours featuring ingredients such as pink guava, mochi, passion fruit and charcoal tapioca. As for the coffee, it’s worth exploring the comprehensive menu of white coffees made with their homemade almond mylk.

5. AL Coffee

Housed in a space with minimalistic interiors and a cool palette of greys, AL Coffee exudes a cosy and industrial vibe that’s ideal for relaxing afternoon escapes from the city. 

Coffee connoisseurs will appreciate their nutty, flavourful house blends featuring freshly roasted beans; whilst those with an appetite for cafe food will enjoy a decent menu of pastries and pasta. Their waffles and egg rolls are worth trying if you’re craving something sweet.

6. NOC Coffee Co.

This well-liked coffee chain needs no introduction. Known for its consistently well-executed food and drink offerings, NOC Coffee Co. has recently opened a new branch in Tsuen Wan, boasting a gorgeous design inspired by Kyoto’s traditional machiya (traditional wooden houses), with soothing wooden interiors dominating the space. 

On the menu, expect a stellar selection of coffees and non-caffeinated drinks such as mango cold brew tea and lemonade, accompanied by excellent food options including toast, pasta and burgers.

7. Lemna of the alchemist

The sister brand of the beloved Alchemist Cafe, Lemna of the alchemist is a unique multi-concept restaurant that offers more than just dining with art and cultural events to bring you an elevated cafe experience.

Adorned with white walls and lush greenery, guests can enjoy a serene atmosphere together with freshly-brewed coffees and teas, as well as branch-exclusive food offerings such as roasted chicken, Iberico lard fries with chives, and creamy cod roe prawn linguine.

Themed exhibitions and performances will be hosted regularly, so be sure to follow them on Instagram for the latest updates. The cafe is still in its soft opening phase but we hear the bar area is opening soon!

8. Ralph's Coffee

Whether you’re a coffee or fashion enthusiast, you’ll be pleased to know that Ralph Lauren has launched its first Asian coffee outpost in Hong Kong. Located inside Landmark Prince’s Building, the cafe has an elegant ambience with art deco details, marble accents and lavish leather seats decorating the space. 

Aside from providing stunning backdrops for the perfect Instagram post or story, Ralph’s Coffee is also worth visiting for its expertly brewed coffees featuring organic beans. Their freshly baked pastries and desserts are a lovely accompaniment to your cuppa, including carrot cake, tiramisu, and pecan pies.

9. Cupping Room Coffee Roasters

Bookmark Cupping Room Coffee Roasters’ new branch for the next time you find yourself exploring the West Kowloon District. 11. Soul Fresh

Soul Fresh, as its name suggests, is a place where delicious food and coffee are served in a cosy setting to delight your soul as much as your palate.
