Seroja, which means “lotus flower” in Malay, will open its doors on October 1 and will serve up an enticing menu that takes diners on a journey through the Malay Archipelago

After working as the head chef of one-Michelin-starred restaurant, Meta, and representing Southeast Asia at the S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy Competition 2021, Malaysian-born chef Kevin has come into his own with the opening of Seroja on October 1.

Named after the lotus flower, the restaurant is his homage to the Malay archipelago’s diverse culture and culinary traditions. “I want to share the beauty of the region I’m from with the world,” Wong shares, before elaborating that the restaurant embodies the disparate cultures in the region that continue to thrive and co-exist.

The menu showcases the familiar flavours he discovered through a lifetime of cooking and eating out of the kitchens in the Malay Archipelago and beyond. Wong marries these familiar flavours with the culinary precision he learned while working at notable restaurants across Asia and Europe, and creates dishes that retain the soul of local culture but speak a universal language.

Stay tuned to find out more.

Seroja will open its doors at Duo Galleria on October 1. Reservations are open from September 1.
