It's been less than two months since this casual restaurant by three-Michelin starred chef Bruno Ménard swung open its doors and it is already sparking a much needed dose of life into the once sleepy Pacific Plaza. The interior channels an edgy sort of playful, with incandescent light bulbs dropping from the ceiling, and mosaic tiles huddling to form murals that recall the tongue-in-cheek works of French urban artist Space Invader.
While the décor is light-hearted, the food here takes itself pretty seriously. Salads-to-drink see all the goodness of a salad puréed together with vinaigrettes to form a carafe of chilled, refreshing soups. Opt for Yellow, a blend of carrot orange and ginger, and enjoy it with the accompanying savoury bites that resemble mini muffins. The farmer's toastoo, a buckwheat crepe pocket stuffed with ham, caramelised onion and raclette cheese fondue, is comfort food at its best. We also recommend the 3 Litte Pigs burger, featuring a toothsome patty of bacon, pork and chorizo, sandwiched with deliciously wilted shitake mushrooms and a flash of pickles, all topped with yuzu-kosho mayonnaise. The burger sits alongside a homemade barbecue dip and serving of fries. For a touch of luxe, a $3 top-up gets you truffle fries.
