The Star Vista is fast becoming a popular dining destination for mid-range restaurants. One of the new additions to the dining scene is the casual Colombian eatery, La Barra.

This new dining spot is located on The Star Vista’s breezy semi-alfresco dining strip and is dedicated to bringing the flavours of Colombia to Singapore for the very first time. Colombian co-founder Patricia Klammers says, “We hope to share this unique and authentic combination of Spanish, Africa and indigenous flavours which have unified generations of Colombians.”

Similar to Colombia’s neighbouring South American countries, their street food is focused on fresh flavours and ingredients.  The gluten-free arepas are made with cornmeal and filled with shredded meats, fresh avocado, beans and cheese and is  served with a fresh avocado dip and freshly made aji.

On the beverage list, you’ll find Colombia’s most beloved beers like Aguila and fruit shakes made from fruit pulp flown in from Colombia. For a truly authentic taste of the country, try the lulo shake. The lulo fruit is native only to northwestern South America and is being offered for the first time in Singapore at La Barra.
