The vibe that is Dempsey Hill is unmistakably charming and has since attracted hordes of diners looking for an alternative place to chill over the weekend. One of more popular watering holes is Fabbrica which services a rather mean spaghetti tossed with not one but three types of caviar. There's also the scallop carpaccio, which is served plump and firm and the equally fresh parcel-baked seabass fillet with Vermouth. The calamari, though not the best, gets high marks for its crackly batter and tastier-than-most seasoning. In many instances, it is the seasoning here that makes a difference. For instance, the roasted quail is a little dry but is saved by an excellent marinade.
