1. Call Me Al

A fun spot for drinks and good grub, think hearty plates of comfort food including smashed burgers and spicy rigatoni, Call Me Al is also a pet-friendly gem. The ambience is welcoming, and your dog will very likely enjoy the attention of fellow diners too.

2. Cafe Match Box

Hidden around the corner from Fashion Walk in Causeway Bay, Cafe Match Box offers retro vibes and old-school Hong Kong-style food for diners to feel nostalgic about. 3. Lazy Creatures

As the name suggests, this is a spot for everyone, including the laziest of creatures. With a cosy ambience, Lazy Creatures in Kowloon City offers a menu with a variety of dishes such as all-day breakfast dishes, pasta, pies, dessert and, of course, coffee.

4. Puppuccino

Nestled along Tseung Kwan O's waterfront promenade, Puppuccino is not only a pet-friendly restaurant, it's also an indoor snow playground, retail store and pet spa, all under one roof. The menu offers Italian-style dishes with a fair few fusion creations too. The restaurant also serves pet foods, so you can relax, play or just hang out with your pup.

5. Cabana Breeze

Featuring an intimate indoor dining space and a spacious outdoor seating area complete with, you guessed it, cabanas, Cabana Breeze is an ideal spot for beach and holiday vibes. Meanwhile, the menu offers bites of pizza and fresh seafood to keep your belly happy as you enjoy the breezy atmosphere. 6. Shake Shack

Located in Kwai Fong's Metroplaza, this outpost of Shake Shack offers a big indoor and outdoor seating area for owners and pups to enjoy the Shack menu comfortably. What's more, the restaurant will donate 5% of sales of its Shack Attack to support LAP HK (Lifelong Animal Protection charity) and offers an all-day Y’appy Hour, meaning guests with pets receive a complimentary Poochini with any food or drink purchase.

7. Bogu Pets Grooming & Coffee

Bogu is a coffee shop and pet grooming salon hybrid that offers an airy and relaxing space. The coffee shop doesn’t skimp on the quality of its food and drink offerings either. While you wait for your pet to be groomed and pampered, try the sweet pastry menu—the earl grey cream cake is worth trying—washed down with one of their well-brewed coffees.

8. Be Leaf

Hidden in Kwun Tong’s maze of industrial buildings, Be Leaf is a pet-friendly cafe that aims to transport guests to the exotic islands of Bali thanks to the Instagrammable interiors featuring bamboo furniture and lush greenery. The cafe also serves up an enticing mix of international cuisine that makes for a memorable dining experience.

9. Enoteca

Whether you are in the mood for brunch or an evening drink in a relaxed atmosphere, Enoteca is a casual spot for you to take a break with your dog al fresco. This Italian restaurant offers pasta and pizzas, as well as Mediterranean choices.

10. The Salted Pig

The Salted Pig has five branches in Hong Kong and is known for its pork-laden (and Omnipork) classics as well as generous portions, but the location next to Sai Wan Ho ferry pier has the added bonus of accommodating pets. With pig-themed decor and wooden furniture, guests can enjoy dining in a space that imitates an English farmhouse.

11. Hooman By The Sea

12. Fleur

13. Sip Song

Sip Song is a great restaurant not only to get your fix of Thai food but also to spend some quality time with your dog(s). The laid-back beachside eatery and bar also offers a doggy menu for our buddies, with dishes ranging from peanut butter biscuits to minced chicken with coconut oil-scented rice.

14. Winston’s Coffee

A dog bowl filled with water perpetually sits on the floor of Winston’s in Kennedy Town so they are expecting you to bring your furry friends. By day, you can order good brews that come from a La Marzocco machine (if you know, you know), and as night falls you can upgrade your kick with an Espresso Martini. Food is limited to pastries and sandwiches, but there’s nothing to complain about on that front, either. Winston's original location in Sai Ying Pun may be smaller than its K-Town counterpart, but it's still just as dog-friendly.

15. Poise

You know a coffee shop is dog-friendly when you take a quick look at its location tag on Instagram to see the parade of cute pups posing for photos and this particular one serves great cafe fare with the like of salmon and avocado toast paired with lattes all over their feed.

16. Blue Supreme

It may specialise in craft beer, but Blue Supreme's food menu is worth noting too. And, thanks to the thriving canine community in the area, you’ll almost always find a pup or two relaxing around by the tables that face the street as their owners perch on colourful crates repurposed as seating. To go with its extensive selection of live craft beers, Blue Supreme serves American bistro fare with a constantly changing selection of mains, like a duck confit burger with runny duck egg.

17. Stazione Novella

Known for serving coffees by day and cocktails by night, Black Sheep’s ever-buzzing Stazionne Novella welcomes dogs with open arms. Stop by for a casual breakfast panini after your morning walk, or head there later to enjoy an Italian Aperitivo spread, washed down with cocktails including Aperol Spritz, Negroni and Espresso Martini. 18. Elephant Grounds

With cafes across the city, several of Elephant Grounds’ locations are dog-friendly. While the shops in Causeway Bay, Mid-levels and the K11 Musea have plenty of outdoor seating for you and your doggo, the Hollywood Road flagship store pulls out all the stops with a spacious and dog-friendly environment. Known to be a brunch favourite, dishes such as avocado toast with poached egg, buttermilk pancakes, smoked salmon bagels and more can be washed down with a brew or two. You may also want to surprise your pup with a puppucino tailor-made for them.

19. Le Garçon Saigon

Call ahead to reserve our favourite table at Le Garçon Saigon, a four-top that’s perfect for people-watching, and allows your dog to get in on the action too. The staff are welcoming to four-legged patrons––and they treat two-leggers alright, too. At this pho-free Vietnamese restaurant, we always order one of the superlative salads and then get to work DIY-ing our rice-paper rolls. For those who can't snag a spot at Le Garçon Saigon, Le Petit Saigon next door has an outdoor spot for people and pets to perch while they enjoy banh mi washed down with iced Vietnamese coffee.

20. Ruam

Aptly named after the Thai word for ‘to gather’, Ruam doesn’t discriminate and welcomes dogs, and humans, onto its outdoor terrace. The spacious alfresco area is filled with greenery, making diners, drinkers and dogs feel worlds away from the busy Wan Chai Streets below. Tuck into classic Thai dishes, enjoy a cooling drink or book in for a boozy weekend brunch at this casual and vibrant spot.

21. Limewood

The Pulse is a pet-friendly mall, and the only rule, according to the mall’s website, is to “respect the pets and respect others”––a refreshing change of pace, given dogs aren’t even allowed on Repulse Bay Beach. They can, however, chill on the sidewalk right outside The Pulse’s bayside dining outlets. Limewood serves up seaside specials such as fried fish tacos, jerked coconut corn and signature 48-hour charred beef ribs with mango-infused BBQ sauce.

22. Rajasthan Rifles

Rajasthan Rifles' outdoor terrace is ideal for relaxing with your dog after a long walk around The Peak. While the restaurant is open all day, we recommend heading here on weekends between 8am and 11am to enjoy hearty breakfast dishes such as keema anda pau, rifles rolls with sausage and eggs, and masala omelettes.

23. Bathers

This beachside restaurant in Lantau is 100% dog-friendly, meaning you can enjoy a day of sun, sand, and sea with food and drinks––all with your pet right by your side. Located on Lantau's Lower Cheung Sha Beach, the idyllic setting is paired with a menu featuring dishes such as seafood platters, beer-battered barramundi and more, making for a perfect respite from the bustling city.
