Welcome the Festival of Lights with delightful mithais, or sweet confections, made with love by some of the island's notable chefs

Diwali or Deepavali is the Indian Festival of Lights that celebrates "victory of light over darkness, and good over evil". And considering the tumultuous 2020 we've all had, we could use some reminder that better days are coming, starting with these mithais or sweet confections traditionally consumed to welcome the festivities.

1. Rang Mahal

The chefs are back doing what they do best during this time of the year—mithais, which are hand-made daily without any preservatives. The imaginative flavours include Coconut Laddu perfumed with fragrant cardamom, as well as Pista Burfi comprising a nutty based coated with gold dust. As for the savoury options, you have the roasted almonds finished with masala powder, as well as the roasted cashew nuts spiced up with Kerala pepper. Available from now until November 14.
