Popular with the breakfast crowd, especially on weekends, this kopitiam in a corner lot serves a good variety of noodles (think wantan mee, curry laksa, pork noodles) and yong tau foo. There's a hugely popular char kuay teow stall—expect to wait long at peak hours and on weekends—as well as a decent mixed rice stall that serves deep fried pork chop to take away for lunch later. Planter Chin is a nature lover's dream come true. The quaint cafe is filled with lush greenery and is filled with natural light. Its menu is concise and simple, with dishes like the breakfast muffintop, which is essentially scrambled eggs and chicken patty on top a breakfast bun.

Its popular breakfast menu includes treats like classic toast drizzled with heavenly homemade coffee butterscotch and coffee maple syrup. For something savoury, the Colombian eggs put an exotic twist on classic breakfast.
