Released this week, the annual restaurant guide is a showcase of 192 restaurants reviewed by our in-house editors and expert reviewers

Published annually since 1986, the Tatler Dining Guide (formerly called Best Restaurants Guide) has been gourmands’ source for the best places to wine and dine on the island. This year's edition—which will be available on newsstands this week—is a collection of 192 restaurants that were reviewed by the in-house team and our expert reviewers based on four key points: food, setting, wine and service.

As we have discovered during the review phase, the chefs and their culinary teams continue to dish out creative menus and innovative dining concepts despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Just look at Naeum, chef-founder Louis Han’s modern Korean restaurant inspired by his childhood memories, and Restaurant Euphoria by chef-owner Jason Tan.

At his new space, Tan continues to whip up an elevated version of his signature “gastro-botanica” cuisine, anchored in French culinary techniques and crafted with carefully sourced premium meat, seafood and vegetables. These are just two of the new restaurants which are welcome additions to our dining guide.

While we celebrate these new additions, we also pay tribute to the stalwart restaurants which continue to up their game. Since its establishment in 2015, chef-owner Julien Royer’s Odette has garnered accolade after accolade thanks to his refined French fare coupled with a beautiful space and stellar hospitality.

It is the same with Restaurant Zén, which continues to impress with its Nordic fare laced with Asian accents, and Burnt Ends, which has extended its repertoire to include… bombolinis. Yes, these extremely popular sweet treats are available at the bakery and on the dessert menu.
