Congratulations to The Hari Hong Kong, which won "Best Upscale Hotel" at the 2021 edition of the HD Awards
Just in time to celebrate its first anniversary, The Hari Hong Kong was named "Best Upscale Hotel" at the 17th Annual HD Awards, organised by the revered trade magazine, Hospitality Design. The event, which took place at Cipriani South Street in New York, honoured the year’s best and most innovative achievements in design from around the world.
Last year, Tatler Hong Kong unveiled a first look at the five-star hotel, which opened in Wan Chai in December 2020.
“It is a tremendous honour for The Hari Hong Kong to be recognised by the esteemed HD Award after less than a year since opening. This award marks a significant milestone for The Hari as it is the first design accolade bestowed upon the brand’s homecoming to Hong Kong. said Dr. Aron Harilela, Chairman and CEO of Harilela Group.

Atkins, a global architecture firm with offices in Hong Kong, London, the US, and Dubai, worked together with acclaimed London-based interior designer Tara Bernerd, the founder and CEO of Tara Bernerd & Partners, to bring Harilela's vision to life.
The 30-story hotel on Lockhart Road features 210 guest rooms including three signature rooftop suites. Throughout the property, sleek elements like marble, contemporary art and floor-to-ceiling windows are met with warm, earthy elements like wood panelled walls, timber floors and leather couches, giving the hotel's design a luxurious mid-century modern touch.
