We'll say it out loud: Robert Pattinson has been delivering outstanding performances and here are our favourites

Don't let Robert Pattinson's iconic role in the Twilight movie franchise blind you from the actor's outstanding movie performances in recent years. Pattinson's range deserves equal attention as he's explored different roles for the past few years. It's quite refreshing to see the actor lean towards indie films as well, but it's obvious that the actor's realm is Crime, Drama, and Thriller.

We've already seen a bit of his performance as the superhero himself in the new Batman movie. Looking back at Pattinson's recent projects, there's no doubt that he will be giving his all in the new DC film.

See it for yourself when you watch any of these Robert Pattinson flicks:

In Robert Eggers' The Lighthouse, Pattinson stars alongside critically-acclaimed actor Willem Dafoe as two lighthouse keepers on a remote island in the 1890s. On the surface, the movie shows the frustrations brought about by cabin fever. Pattinson truly challenged himself in this film as it was physically exhausting. Yet the actor was able to depict a character that's on the verge of insanity.

Pattinson's role in The Devil All the Time is far from the characters he had played in the past. In this Antonio Campos film, Pattinson plays Preston Teagardin, a corrupt preacher with a Southern accent. The actor has created a balance between charm and deception in the movie; in those moments, Pattinson disappears and all we can see is Teagardin. His memorable delivery of the word, "Delusions!" in the movie has made him, once again, the internet's favourite subject.

3. Good Time (2017)

The first time Pattinson appears on screen in Good Time, there's an immediate tension that's difficult to ignore, and it continues up until it cuts to the title screen. Pattinson, who's playing the role of Connie Nikas, is able to express this emotion so naturally early in the movie that you feel part of their cold and daunting world. His character is just as notable as Nick Nikas (Benny Safdie), who has an intellectual disability and is sent to prison after a failed robbery. Nikas then goes on a journey to free his beloved brother.

Tenet has John David Washington as the Protagonist. This mind-boggling film by Christopher Nolan follows the story of a spy fighting through time to complete one important mission—stop the world's descent to World War III. Pattinson may not be the star of this flick, but he's able to steal the show as Neil, the Protagonist's handler.

5. High Life (2018)

High Life is an eerie movie that follows the story of Monte (Pattinson), who's part of a space crew consisting of death row convicts. Monte will have to unravel the mystery on board with his daughter. Although the movie's set in an isolated place like outer space, Pattinson still manages to keep the audience captivated.
