Too much to watch and too little time? We highlight the new Netflix shows you can't miss this July

July has arrived and with it—Netflix subscribers can expect a whole host of new shows, movies, animated specials and more. 

From the highly-anticipated Stranger Things 4: Volume 2 to the premiere of The Gray Man, the most expensive film ever made by Netflix, there is so much that the streaming platform is offering its viewers. 

Here, we highlight five shows that you absolutely have to watch this month.

1. Stranger Things 4: Volume 2

Stranger Things fans, block out your calendars because Season 4 Volume 2 is finally upon us. The second half of Season 4 will feature two episodes and will answer pending questions from Volume 1 while also setting the tone for the show’s upcoming fifth season (don’t worry, no spoilers here).

Season 5 is set to be the final run for the wildly popular supernatural series which premiered in 2016 though producers have already been teasing potential spin-offs.

2. Resident Evil

Its been 14 years since the spread of Joy, an antidepressant developed by the Umbrella Corporation, and the world is overrun with blood-thirsty infected and mind-shattering creatures.

In this series, Jade Wesker fights for survival while also being haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation and what happened to her sister, Billie.

3. The Gray Man

In this new thriller, CIA operative Court Gentry (also known as The Gray Man) accidentally uncovers some dark agency secrets. He very quickly becomes a primary target and has to go on the run while being hunted down by his former colleague, Lloyd Hansen, and international assassins.

The film stars Hollywood heavyweights such as Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans and is the most expensive film ever made by Netflix with a production budget of US$200 million.

4. Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight

Remember Kung Fu Panda (also known as Po)? The hilarious panda who undergoes training to become a world-class assassin is back and better than ever in a new series called Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight.

In the comedic kids series, Po must leave his home to travel the world to find a set of four powerful weapons that are under attack by a mysterious pair of weasels.

5. Hello, Goodbye, and Everything In Between
