Cover Our selection of Christmas events will not fail to spark joy in even the most determined Grinch

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, so we’ve rounded up the best events for the young and young-at-heart members of the Tatler community

’Tis the most wonderful time of the year, when the city puts on its festive coat of Christmas lights and smells of spices and mulled wine. It’s the season that everyone—old or young—looks forward to all the year round. Of course, it’s twice as fun for adults when they are around children and a zillion times more exciting when you are a child. Capture the Christmas spirit and book in some festive, family-friendly experiences this month. From The Nutcracker ballet to decadent afternoon teas on a Polar Express train, Hong Kong has plenty of holiday events to offer—and here are our recommendations to get you into the mood for a holly jolly Christmas.

From the costumes to the choreography to the sprightly score, every facet of this production has been crafted over countless iterations and generations to convey whimsy and wintery wonder.

Hong Kong shopping centres are famous for their festive decorations, but Pacific Place has a programme of fun to accompany the photo opportunity displays: an augmented reality sleigh, a DJ booth, a team of partying reindeers, and a range of workshops, including a “Santa squad training” one aimed at budding performers.
