Nothing has been confirmed yet but it looks like the K-pop star might have a supporting or cameo role on The Idol

We already know that Blackpink star Jennie slays on any platform she graces but now, it looks like the K-pop star might be adding something new to her burgeoning portfolio: television actress. The star was reportedly approached recently to appear in a new HBO series The Idol. The show, which is still being filmed, was created by The Weeknd, Reza Fahim and Sam Levinson, who is the brains behind Euphoria

The show follows a self-help guru who has entered into a tumultuous relationship with a rising pop star. It stars The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp as its leads and it looks like Jennie will play a supporting or cameo role. That said, no details have been released yet even though filming for the show is currently underway in Los Angeles.

The show will also have Debby Ryan, Steve Zissis, and Troye Sivan playing supporting roles.

The news comes shortly after it was revealed that in April, The Weeknd asked for an overhaul of The Idol as he was not happy with the direction the show was going in.

Whether or not the rumours are true, we will be watching The Idol closely for this possible cameo.
