The exhibition by the Ikebana International Singapore Chapter 135 was so special that even the Ambassador of Japan to Singapore, H.E. Mr Jun Yamazaki, was invited

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Ikebana International Singapore Chapter 135 was finally able to hold its highly anticipated exhibition at Paragon from April 29 to May 8.

The exhibition, which was inspired by Mother's Day, was titled ‘Mother’s Love’ and saw a total of 52 participants from various Ikebana schools taking part with 67 distinct floral arrangements on display.

The opening of the exhibition was graced by the Ambassador of Japan to Singapore, Jun Yamazaki and Mrs Junko Yamazaki, and saw a plethora of members and guests witnessing the ceremony at the Paragon Atrium.

The exhibition this year was particularly notable because there was a new segment by the group that celebrated younger talents who worked with their mothers. Their creations were emotional and special and they pushed the limits with their talents.

The exhibition, which was backed by The National University Health System (NUHS) was also raising funds to support financially disadvantaged cancer patients while also providing an opportunity for members to interact and share their passion for ikebana.
