Hong Kong International Photo Festival

When: From now till November 28 

Where: Various locations across the city 

What: Hong Kong International Photo Festival returns for the third edition of the “Satellite Exhibitions” project with the theme of “Photography Cinema.” Presenting works from South and Southeast Asia, the theme explores the multitude of forms and narrativity between still and moving images.

The festival features 16 exhibitions, 11 venue partners and five collaborators, where guests will be able to see a variety of works by leading artists revolving around topics including technology, the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as reflections on the body and memories of the city and nature.

Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival 2021

When: Throughout November

Where: Various locations across Hong Kong 

What: Food lovers rejoice! The highly-anticipated Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival is back. This year, the culinary event will feature a variety of gastronomic experiences, inviting guests to enjoy the city’s finest F&B offerings.

Highlights of the programme include City Wine Walks where you can sample different fine wines, cocktails and special food menus from stellar bars and restaurants across four neighbourhoods—Central, Kennedy Town, Wan Chai and Tsim Sha Tsui; themed dining events; as well as live-streamed wine tastings.

Hong Kong Pride Parade

When: November 13

Where: 8/F, The Wave, 4 Hing Yip St, Kwun Tong, Hong Kong  

What: The annual Hong Kong Pride Parade is returning this November in a new indoor market format. With the theme of “Stay in Love”, the event will shed light on the alienation and loneliness that the LGBTQ+ community face due to their sexual orientation.

The public is welcome to join the event and show their support for the LGBTQ+ community. Aside from the Market Zone which includes 30 small booths of different types of LGBT+ supportive businesses, the market also has a Stay in Love Zone featuring 20 booths of sponsors, participating groups and activity booths. There’s also a special Prize Zone where guests will find rainbow art installations for photo taking.

Hong Kong Spartan

When: November 20-21

Where: Kam Tin Country Club, Yuen Long

What: Fitness junkies would be pleased to know that Spartan races are back. This year, the event will include three race options including Sprint, Kids, and Virtual Trail, where participants are invited to challenge themselves to compete in either the Elite, Age Group or Open division.

The five-kilometre race will feature around 20 obstacles ranging from barbed wires to mud climbs and monkey bars. A new kids race course with a total of 3kim covering 10 to 15 obstacles is also offered this year to get young adventurers into the Spartan spirit.

CHAT Presents “Spinning East Asia Series I: A Compass in Hand”

When: November 27 – February 27, 2022  

Where: CHAT/MILL6 Foundation, The Mills, 45 Pak Tin Par Street, Tsuen Wan, New Territories, Hong Kong 

What: CHAT (Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textiles) has launched its new winter programme, Spinning East Asia Series I: A Compass in Hand.” Featuring 15 prominent individuals and collectives of artists-designers engaging with the notion of “East Asia”, the exhibition will explore how the historical, social and ideological landscapes of East Asia are shaped through the lens of design and textile.

Expect to see a selection of typographic designs, interactive and immersive installations, as well as multi-media works.

'Cheers!' Series: The Snowman & The Bear (with film) by City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong

Where: Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall
