They are the Bennifer of Malaysia. Power celebrity couple Awal Ashaari and Scha Alyahya even have their own abbreviated moniker, Schawal. Both are multi-hyphenates in Malaysian showbiz and social media influencers in their own right.
An actor and singer, Awal is well-known for his numerous hosting gigs including the hugely popular One in a Million singing competition. Former flight attendant Scha became a household name after starring in the Astro Ria series, Awan Dunia, for three seasons.

Awal and Scha, who started dating in 2008, married in 2012, following Awal's surprise live TV proposal on an Astro programme. The couple has two children, Lara Alana and Lila Amina.
