Despite the fact that we are still in Phase 2 (Heightened Alert), Singapore’s 56th birthday was still a special affair for our society friends

Our annual National Day parade has seen a lot of changes ever since the pandemic began in 2020 and this year, we saw one of the biggest changes yet. Due to the fact that we were still in Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) during the celebration, the Government made the decision to have a muted ceremonial parade on August 9 that will be followed by a proper parade on August 23.

Singaporeans were encouraged to #stayhome and watch the ceremonial parade through their screens and windows as they celebrated the nation’s 56th birthday with their families.
