God’s Love We Deliver, New York City’s leading provider of medically tailored meals for individuals living with severe illness, held its 15th annual Golden Heart Awards in a hybrid format
The event, held on October 18, 2021, had both an in-person gala at The Glasshouse in Manhattan and a virtual programme for guests tuning in from home. The evening kicked off with a NYC-themed cocktail hour featuring speciality drinks from Bemelmans Bar. An auction of an original piece of art, made exclusively for this year’s event by artist, graphic designer and art director Eric Haze, was held exclusively for the attendees.

For dinner, guests were treated to dishes from some of the Big Apple’s most iconic restaurants, including Sardi’s, Russ & Daughters, Dame, Pinch Chinese, Bolivian Llama Party,
Frenchette and Saxelby Cheesemongers, brought to them in partnership with Eater, the food and dining platform of American news and opinion website Vox.
After dinner came the annual awards presentation, featuring a welcome address from actor Alan Cumming as well as remarks by Michael Kors, Clive Davis and the evening’s honourees, Billy Porter (Michael Kors Award for Outstanding Community Service) and Don Lemon (Golden Heart Award for Achievement in Broadcasting).
The guests were entertained by the amazing Dionne Warwick and the talented Cyndi Lauper. Both sang their famous songs, including What the World Needs Now and True Colours.
Anna Wintour, honorary chairwoman of God’s Love We Deliver, honoured Michael Kors on his 40th anniversary in the business with a surprise tribute and special performance
by the Broadway Inspirational Voices.
