What happens when a fragment of the cosmos meets Zenith’s mastery?
Since 1969, the El Primero has stood as the world’s first high-frequency automatic chronograph, heralding a new chapter in timekeeping. Among its many illustrious successors, the Chronomaster Sport has become a modern emblem of precision and performance, internationally renowned for its 1/10th-of-a-second chronograph function.
Zenith has now opened a fresh chapter for this icon. By marrying the essence of watchmaking with the otherworldly beauty of the cosmos, the brand has unveiled a creation both rare and poetic: the Chronomaster Sport Meteorite, where the universe and time converge.

Unique meteorite dial
For the first time, the Chronomaster Sport has been adorned with a dial fashioned from natural meteorite. Each fragment of this extraordinary material has spent millions of years voyaging through space before landing on Earth and arriving at the heart of Zenith’s Le Locle workshop.

Thanks to painstaking finishing techniques, the meteorite surface reveals the distinctive Widmanstätten pattern, a crystalline geometric formation born from the ultra-slow cooling of iron alloy in space. This singularity ensures no two Chronomaster Sport Meteorite watches are identical, making each one a masterpiece in its own right.
Set against this beguiling cosmic canvas, Zenith’s three hallmark chronograph subdials appear in silver, grey and deep grey. The gentle contrast enhances the dial’s celestial character while ensuring flawless legibility. Hands and baton indexes coated in Super-LumiNova lend a luminous glow, guaranteeing visibility under any light, even in darkness.

The watch is encased in 41mm of stainless steel, featuring pump pushers and a blend of brushed and polished finishes for a look that balances elegance with strength. A black ceramic bezel, calibrated in 10-second increments, underscores both functionality and enduring durability.
Redefining performance
At its core, the Chronomaster Sport Meteorite houses the El Primero 3600, Zenith’s latest-generation movement. Beating at 5Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour), the movement enables the central chronograph hand to complete a rotation in just 10 seconds, offering near-perfect accuracy to the nearest 1/10th of a second. With a stop-seconds mechanism, silicon escape wheel and 60-hour power reserve, the El Primero 3600 is not only a feat of engineering but also a testament to Zenith’s pioneering spirit in high-frequency watchmaking.

Through the sapphire caseback, aficionados can admire the movement’s refined architecture, highlighted by a blue column wheel and a skeleton rotor bearing the Zenith star.
The timepiece is presented on an integrated steel bracelet with alternating brushed and polished links, and is also available with a black rubber strap, offering versatility for every occasion.
