Zenith unveils new expressions of its flagship Chronomaster Sport with a dressy model and a skeletonised collection featuring a new patented clasp

At Watches and Wonders 2026, Zenith affirmed its credentials as a high-end watchmaker with a booth design that replicates sections of its manufacture—from the watchmakers’ locker room to their work benches—in Le Locle, Switzerland. The new models were presented in a room featuring a live feed of the watchmakers at work—a small but meaningful gesture that resonated with the hardcore enthusiasts.

Zenith further amplified its watchmaking savoir-faire with the new Chronomaster Sports, including, for the first time, a skeletonised collection that brings to the surface its legendary El Primero movement. Launched in 1969, the El Primero was the first automatic high-frequency chronograph, beating at 5Hz and capable of measuring 1/10th of a second. Thanks to its remarkable precision, the El Primero remains one of today’s most distinguished calibres—a legacy carried on by the Chronomaster Sport.

Powered by the El Primero 3600SK, the Chronomaster Sport Skeleton features a chronograph seconds hand that makes one full rotation around the dial every 10 seconds (instead of the usual one minute)—an action tracked by the 10-second graduated ceramic bezel.

The sapphire dial, subtly tinted from the back at the periphery, is completely transparent in the centre to better admire the openworked architecture of the movement, including the blue column wheel and the silicon escape wheel. Power reserve remains at a robust 60 hours.

The Chronomaster Sport Skeleton is available in steel with green or black ceramic bezel, 18k rose gold with black ceramic bezel, or the limited-edition rose gold set with 50 baguette diamonds.

The Chronomaster Skeleton also debuted the ZENCLASP,  a new patented folding clasp the result of three years of development. Protected by a safety lift-up cover, the user-friendly clasp features new construction with 41 components including a fastening reinforced by ceramic balls.

For micro-adjustments in 2mm increments across five positions (total range 10mm), lift the secondary cover, all of which is easily performed without removing the watch from the wrist. This folding clasp is compatible with all Chronomaster Sport bracelets not originally equipped with it, and will become a standard feature across different models.

Zenith also proposes a new dressy Chronomaster Sport in steel with rose gold bezel, crown and pushers, and a mother-of-pearl dial—striking a balance between technical precision and elegance.

Limited to 50 pieces, the integrated bracelet also adheres to the two-tone theme in steel with rose gold centre links. For such a formal-looking timepiece, it is powered by the El Primero calibre  equipped with a bi-directional winding rotor decorated with a cutout of the Zenith star. This rotor delivers 60 hours of power reserve, ensuring that the watch survives the weekend sitting in the drawer.
