Marking its 270th anniversary, Vacheron Constantin showcases the full breadth of its horological savoir-faire.
The Traditionnelle collection radiates a refined, classical appeal, defined by a 950 platinum case, dauphine hands, and a delicate minute track—design cues that hark back to the 18th-century pocket watch. In celebration of its 270th year, the maison introduces a new ultra-slim calibre alongside three openworked creations, each a tribute to its enduring legacy.

PURE HEART
The Traditionnelle Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar features the self-winding Calibre 2162 QP/270, an evolution of the 2008 Calibre 2160. What sets it apart is its ultra-thin architecture, made possible by a peripheral rotor. With a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour, it allows the elegant tourbillon to take centre stage. Its perpetual calendar is equipped with a patented secure drive system that permits adjustments in both directions.
The bridges are finished with a cote unique motif—a century-old technique once known only to the maison, and rediscovered in 2021.

GOOD FACE
Among Vacheron Constantin’s most cherished complications is the retrograde date display. Positioned on the upper dial, the hand traces a path from ‘1’ to ‘31’, before snapping back to ‘1’ at month’s end.
To mark the maison’s milestone year, this complication appears in the Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Retrograde Date Openface and the Traditionnelle Tourbillon Retrograde Date Openface, each with a gold dial embellished with a Maltese cross-inspired guilloché motif.
In the former, the dial is partially openworked, enhanced by sapphire discs for the day and month. A moon-phase display at six o’clock completes the calendar, needing just one adjustment every 122 years.

Completing the trilogy is the Traditionnelle Complete Calendar Openface, displaying day, date, and month indicators alongside a precision moon-phase. Here, there’s no retrograde element; the date is tracked by a blued hand sweeping the outer edge of the dial. Sapphire discs display the day and month, complementing the partially openworked aesthetic.
