The metamorphosis of the caterpillar into the butterfly symbolises transformation and rebirth. As Sincere Fine Watches embarks on a new chapter after its acquisition by Cortina Holdings in 2021, it is fitting that Fabergé has incorporated the butterfly into its award-winning Compliquée timepiece to celebrate the retailer’s 70th-anniversary platinum jubilee.
“We worked with Sincere on this special edition to celebrate its platinum anniversary. As with any anniversary, it signifies the start of a new era, and we felt the butterfly aptly represents the new era,” says CEO Antony Lindsay.

There will only be 10 iterations of the Fabergé Compliquée Butterfly Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition, each rose gold piece featuring a unique dial inspired by the flora and fauna of Asia handpainted by artisans. The centrepiece is the butterfly wings that open up as the hour passes, gracefully gliding along the mother-of-pearl minute track. The hour disc, also crafted in mother-of-pearl, rotates counterclockwise. The manual-winding movement was developed exclusively for Fabergé by Agenhor Manufacture.
