Bridgerton star Simone Ashley opens up about her life, career and style secrets with IWC
At this year’s Watches and Wonders exhibition in Geneva, Tatler had the pleasure of speaking with IWC Schaffhausen ambassador Simone Ashley, who rose to fame for her role as Kate Sharma in Shonda Rhimes’ Netflix period drama Bridgerton.
Describe your day?
No two days are quite alike. If I’m working, I tend to start early. Lately, I’ve been running often, trying to get a jog in before heading off to the studio, the set, or the airport. On days off, I enjoy walking with friends and spending time with my dog.

Your career took off thanks to Bridgerton. What was life like afterwards?
I’m often surrounded by people I care about—family and friends. I always carve out space for my personal life.
If you weren’t an actor, what would you be?
Something involving animals. Perhaps a vet, or a role working with wildlife.
Your three style secrets?
Style comes from confidence, a sense of inner worth, and joy.
What accessories can’t be missed when leaving the house?
A pair of earrings, a good pair of boots, and my IWC watch.

As an IWC ambassador, what is your favourite watch?
The one I’m wearing today: the IWC Ingenieur Automatic 35 in 18-karat 5N gold. It sits so comfortably on the wrist and looks beautifully refined.
