Gucci makes its maiden foray into fine watchmaking with an ultra-slim range endowed with the grand complication of a tourbillon

Italian fashion house Gucci is taking a step into fine watchmaking with its first series of watches endowed with its first in-house movement developed at Kering-owned movement manufacture at La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland. GG727.25 calibre makes its debut in the Gucci 25H collection that, impressively enough, include tourbillon versions in platinum and yellow gold. 

The watch's name Gucci 25H is coined by creative director Alessandro Michele and it contains a number that he features frequently in his collections.

The movement's name GG727.25 also contains symbolic numerals: '2' for balance, '5' for curiosity and freedom, and '7' for a sense of completeness. The ultra-slim automatic movement measures 3.70mm in height, perfect for taking up abode in an ultra-slim case with sleek finishes.
