Among Patek Philippe’s new variations of its long-beloved Nautilus cult watch is the latest version of the ladies’ Nautilus watch, equally a covetable rarity. The Ref 7118/1300R-001 Nautilus “Ladies Automatic” in rose gold showcases an octagonal bezel with 68 baguette-cut spessartite gems. This inspires a stunning double-toned gradation: one between the cognac-coloured stones at 12 and 6 o’clock, the other between the champagne-coloured stones at 9 and 3 o’clock.
Featuring the undulating pattern that is typical for ladies’ Nautilus watches, the dial assures excellent legibility—a requirement that applies to all Patek Philippe watches, even gem-set models. It also has hour markers made of ogive-shaped spessartites in warm and subtle cognac hues. Just as this dynamic harmony lends the precious creation a distinctly modern touch, the self-winding 324 S C movement simply beckons admiration through the sapphire-crystal case back.
Specially crafted for modern and active women, the new Ref 7968/300R-001 “Rainbow” chronograph is the first self-winding timepiece for ladies in Patek Philippe’s sporty-chic Aquanaut Luce collection. Fitted with the CH 28-520 caliber which has a power reserve of up to 55 hours, the striking novelty is further distinguished by its central chronograph hand that can be used as a running seconds hand, its 60-minute counter at 6 o’clock and its flyback function which enables an instantaneous restart of new timekeeping operations while the chronograph is already running.
A vibrant array of baguette-cut diamonds and sapphires makes the bezel a fascinating highlight. This is complemented by a white mother-of-pearl dial that is engraved with the iconic Aquanaut pattern and houses an entire spectrum of coloured sapphires on the 12 hour markers in rose gold. The wholly bold combination of the Aquanaut Luce’s sporty spirit and the jeweller’s intricate art is delivered on three ultra-resistant composite straps in either red, matt beige or matt white.
